1. Midkiff Meadows Marker
This area is named in honor of Dr. J.T. Midkiff, who served Southern Baptist College from 1956-1974. He held several positions including Professor of Social Science, Dean of Men, and Director of the Baptist Student Union. He was known for planting many of the trees seen on campus today as well as his pastoral ministry to several churches in Arkansas Characterized by energy, compassion, and hard work, Dr. Midkiff was key to the early growth and success of Southern Baptist College.
