1. Vandalia Railroad Depot Marker
Inscription. In December of 1868, the rails were laid to the Greenville Depot. One of the first locomotives on the Vandalia Line was named "Greenville". The original depot was improved, enlarged and destroyed by fire about 1910. The present structure was partially destroyed by fire in 1975. Shank Real Estate rebuilt the depot to its present condition, and now serves as their office.
