1. The Whetman Family Home Marker
Inscription. This property deeded to Ebenezer Brown from the United States in 1872, was part of the old fort of Draper. Ownership changed several times. S.J. Mickelsen Lumber (circa 1818-1920) built this two-bedroom house as a "spec" home for returning World War I veterans. George E. Whetman purchased the home in 1922 before his marriage to Leici Page. They raised eight children and as the family grew, the house expanded; two rooms were added on back as well as a basement, the front porch was enclosed, and the brick exterior walls were stuccoed. Leslie Vawdrey and her mother Diane Newlander purchased the home in 1996, bringing back its original charm and converting it to a lovely floral and gift shop, "Along the Garden Path". All are welcome.

Erected 1996 by Draper Historic Preservation Commission.
