Capitol Theatre
The Capitol Theatre was built in 1928. The Beaux Arts style theatre cost one million dollars to construct. Originally, an 8-story hotel was planned to be built on top of the building, but the Great Depression derailed those plans. The theatre was also home to a ballroom, billiards room, bowling alley, cafeteria, and several shops along the street level.
