A Loved One for our Freedom


To recognize the sacrifices made by Families who gave
their Sons and Daughters for the Freedom of America

HOMELAND [The first panel has an image of a Civil War-era family.]

FAMILY [The second panel has an image of a World War I-era family.]

PATRIOT [The third panel shows the famous World War II image of
US Marines raising the US flag on Iwo Jima's Mount Suribachi.]

[Comprising the peak of the memorial, the cutout represents the
lost service member, in an eternal salute to the family's sacrifice.]

SACRIFICE [The fourth panel has an image of parents received a US flag at their loved one's funeral]
