1. New Switzerland Marker
Inscription. The town of New Switzerland was renamed "Hohenwald" in a merger of the two towns in the late 1890's. European culture was prominent in the creation of an orchestra, a brass band "Echoes of Switzerland, literary societies and "Society Park."
