Regarding Colonel Young House. Excerpt from the National Register nomination:
Located on a spacious lot which no longer bas the rural environment it possessed in 1873, the two-story Col. Young House is a symmetrical cruciform block in the Italianate style.
Probably the earliest of Bentonville's collection of Italianate houses, the Col. Young House is also the most disciplined in plan and geometric configuration.
