St. Joseph Catholic Church. . The first church of St. Joseph's was built in 1723 at the current day cemetery. It was built out of logs and lasted until the 1850's when it was forced to move due to flooding. The construction of the new church and Rectory was finished in 1858. After the closure of St. Annes at Fort de Chartres, the sacred vessels given to them by King Louis the 15th were placed in the parish of St. Joseph's care. The churches altar also houses relics of two martyred Saints, Saint Urban and Saint Fulgentius. The church bells were installed in 1880 using horses. After 300 years, the parish of St. Joseph's is still worshipping the Catholic faith in this building.
