Ensayista, cuentista, poeta, narrador, columnista, traductor, académico además de empresario que laboró en el Departamento de Estado. Cofundó La Casa de Puerto Rico en España, donde fue socio del Ateneo en Madrid y miembro de la Asociación Española de Traductores e Intérpretes. Entre su legado literario destacamos el ensayo "The Commonwealth, Puerto Rico's Experiment in Self Government", los poemarios "En Honor de tantas Cosas", "En memoria de Clara Lair y otros versos de encanto y desencanto", y en la narrtiva "Cuentos puertorriqueños del Mar y la Montaña", y "Viaje en Globo", que es una crónica imaginaria en un famoso aerostato francés por el hospitalario Caribe.
