Participo en los juegos de novigios en Mejico en 1956, centroamericanos 1957, iberoamiercano 1960, y olimpiadas en Roma 1960.
Listed as one of the best ever Puerto Rican athletes. He began to shine over distances on the track at Angel Ramon Mora Park. At the U.C.P.R. he reigned as the "Juanadina Bullet" because of his speed. He participated in the novice games in Mexico in 1956, the Central American Games in 1957, the Ibero-American Games in 1960, and the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960.
