Señalado como uno de los mejores lanzadores del beisbol Doble A de todos los tiempos. Se convirtio en nemesis del equipo Cubano. En su primer año Poeta establecio la Marca Nacional de Ponches (1968). Su marca de efectividad (.60) duro 14 años. En el 1976 obtuvo 19 victorias en los años 1974-1979 recibio la copa olimpica.

[English translation:]
Noted as one of the best Double-A baseball pitchers of all time. He became the nemesis of the Cuban team. In his first year Poet established the National Punch Brand (1968). His ERA calculation (.60) lasted 14 years. In 1976 he won 19 victories in the years 1974-1979 he received the Olympic Cup.
