Inscription.  
Dedicamos este monumento a nuestros veteranos yaucanos y a todos los soldados patriotas puertorriqueños de la Orden Militar de Corazon Purpura que lucharon en el frente de batalla junto a las fuerzas armadas de los Estados Unidos de Norte America en defensa de la democracia, justicia, libertad y la paz. Por su heroismo les fue otorgada la prestigiosa Medalla de Corazon Purpura.

[English translation:]
We dedicate this monument to our Yaucano veterans and to all the patriotic Puerto Rican soldiers of the Purple Heart Military Order who fought on the front lines alongside the armed forces of the United States of North America in defense of democracy, justice, freedom and peace. For their heroism they were awarded the prestigious Purple Heart Medal.
