Inscription.
This bridge, named in memory of Randy Rapson, was built by the community with materials donated by his family.

Randy was a lifelong resident and businessman of Harbor Beach. He was born February 5, 1955, to George and Shirley Rapson. Growing up, he was active in Boy Scouts, Little League, Babe Ruth, and high school sports. Upon his graduation from Harbor Beach Community School (HBCS) in 1973, his career was in the family business, Rapson Electric. Randy also drove a school bus until 1975, when he was injured in a diving accident in the family pool and became a quadriplegic.

Being in a wheelchair did not stop Randy! He chose to be an active and positive member of his church, Zion Lutheran, and his community. Randy coached Babe Ruth baseball teams, sang and narrated in the Community Choir, and was an avid Harbor Beach Pirate fan, attending many, many home and away games.

He was proud to be a Harbor Beach Pirate Alumni and was president of the HBCS Alumni Association for many years.

Randy eventually took over Rapson Electric until his passing in April 2015. He had an open door policy where he shared
