South Princeton Historic District. . The South Princeton Historic District is a three-block area of predominately residential structures. This district is located on South Hart, South Main, and West Water Streets just south of the courthouse square. A broad range of architectural styles is evident in the district, and buildings range from mid- nineteenth century to modern structures. Some of the significant nineteenth century buildings include a c. 1860 Greek Revival house (411 South Main Street), a Greek Revival/Italianate house and Italianate house (South Hart Street), and notable Queen Anne homes (South Hart Street and South Main Street). Late nineteenth century building techniques are also represented in the notable c. 1890 Romanesque Revival style First Presbyterian Church. While the South Princeton Historic District displays good examples of nineteenth century buildings, it also includes several outstanding twentieth century buildings representing a variety of styles. Notable American Four-Square and Bungalow style homes and two notable Colonial Revival style homes stand on South Hart Street. Of particular note is a c.1930 Art Moderne Gas Station on South Main Street., Source: Gibson County Warrick County Interim Report, September 1984
