Arcola, Indiana
Platted 1866 by Benjamin Meiser, John L. Peabody and Patrick Ney at the crossroads adjacent to the Peabody Steam Sawmill (1853) and the Fort Wayne, and Chicago Railroad (1855). The post office name was changed from Taw-Taw to Arcola in 1858.
