I. Shrier Lyceum Hall

Commercial building constructed as rental property for clothiers Isaac Shrier (1841-1920), native of Bavaria, and his wife, Betsy Willner (1850-1916), native of Austria. Initial tenants on the first floor were the Coast Line Cafι and The Peoples Supply Co., grocers. The second floor housed the Coast Line Hotel. In fulfillment of Shriers vision for a lecture hall, the Order of the Eagles, a mens fraternal club, occupied the third floor. The building remained in the Shrier family for 106 years.

Three-story brick building with contemporary storefront, stone lintels and sills at wide upper level windows surrounded by egg and dart molding. Elaborate corbeled frieze rising to stepped parapet with elliptical medallion.
