Members of Boy Scout Troop 367, as part of a 2009 Eagle Scout project, installed this tree and shrub border.
The involvement of local businesses, organizations and individuals has been central to the success of the Centre Furnace Mansion since the Historical Society began to restore this property in the early 1980s. Community service efforts such as the Centre County United Way Day of Caring and Penn State's WE ARE Campaign Spring UP Day are integral to augment the ongoing efforts of the Centre Furnace Mansion Gardening Committee.
