house. The original structure contains elements which predate the construction of the building on its present site, as well as a mid-eighteenth century section and an early twentieth century section. The house is currently a two story saltbox, but it was originally built by Eliphalet Sturges circa 1764 as a two-story, four room farmhouse without a leanto."
