Norvell Community Baptist Church
Historic Site est. 1839
— Jackson County —
It was in 1839 that a group of seekers after God's truth gathered together to found Norvell Community Baptist Church. The thirty charter members first met in the Norvell Plains School and built the present church in 1871, which is an historic site in Jackson County. In fact, the ringing of the original bell calls worshipers together each Sunday. The church also serves as the only church building in the community. Now, as in 1839, the membership gathers to study, worship, and serve God.
