Inscription.
Here we honor the men and women of the Town of Stonington who have served in the armed forces of the United States. And here we record the names of those who so valued the freedoms won by past generations and so dedicated themselves to the protection of those freedoms for future generations that they gave their pasts, their futures, their lives.

They are not forgotten.
