Inscription. Originally the site of L. Lewis Co., a crockery and glassware store. Local architect James Sweeney, designer of 243 and 181 State Street, had his office here.
 
Erected 2006 by New London Main Street, funded by City Center District & Frank Loomis Palmer Fund.
