1. Ashland Schools Faculty Marker

Inscription. The Booker T. Washington School was built in 1903 for grades 1-8. By 1931 it included a four year high school at its Central Ave & 7th ST location. All Boyd Co. schools were not integrated until 1962. In that year, Booker T. Washington closed. We honor the faculty, staff, students, and the school that served Ashland's African-American citizens for so many decades.
