Al Rava. . These courts are dedicated to the lifetime commitment of Al Rava to the sport of tennis and its participants. Throughout his life Mr. Rava not only coached and played tennis but advocated for the advancement of the sport throughout the community, Mr. Rava was a collegiate athlete on the Bowling Green State University tennis team, the tennis professional at Belmont Country Club and the Carranor Hunt and Polo Club, an instructor for the Perrysburg Summer Recreation program and a Perrysburg Junior High School teacher. Throughout his life Mr. Rava dedicated himself to helping those both young and old, learn, enjoy and Improve their knowledge and skill of nearly all racket sports but most notably tennis. These specific courts were originally made possible by the generous financial gift from Virginia Secor Stranahan and the unwavering support of Mr. Rava., Perrysburg High School Head Coach 1983-2010, Overall Career Record 319 wins - 110 losses, 12 Northern Lakes League Tean Championships, Coached 10 States Qualifiers and 1 State Champion, Coached 3 Perrysburg Athletic Hall of Fame inductees
