Zijn orgelspel lokte liefhebbers uit alle windstreken naar Amsterdam.
This 'Orpheus of Amsterdam' was the greatest Dutch composer of his time. His grandiose oeuvre consists of chansons, madrigals, canons, motets, psalm settings and clavier music. He was a groundbreaking organist, harpsichordist and improviser. His organ playing lured fans from all over the world to Amsterdam.
