Built in 1915 and designed by Frank Packard, architect.
In 1926 a larger CHS was constructed, and this building became Thomas Jefferson Junior High School until 1978.
An embodiment of community memory, it was demolished in 2006.
Erected 2009 by Kanawha Valley Historical & Preservation Society.
