United States National Bank Building Arch
These two arches are from the former United States National Bank Building that once stood at the corner of 12th and Farnam Streets. The bank, constructed in 1887, was a fine example of late Richardsonian Romanesque architecture and the stone in the arch is Ohio bluestone, a type of limestone. These arches were reconstructed at this site in 1979 and serve as the visual link between the Old Market and the Central Park Mall.
