Regarding Ignacy Jan Paderewski (1860 - 1941). Ignacy Jan Paderewski, the famed Polish musician and politician, was one of the star performers in 1893 at the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, a city with a long Polish-American heritage. When Paderewski died in 1941, his belongings were donated to the Polish Museum of America, located one mile southeast of Wicker Park in Chicago's West Town neighborhood.
