Erected in 1837, this neo-classical chapel was the first house of worship at the U.S. Military Academy.

There is even a plaque in the Old Cadet Chapel for Maj. Gen. Benedict Arnold, but since he later turned coat against America, his name and date of his death do not appear on the plaque.

The Old Cadet Chapel Marker was originally located on the Plain, but was moved about a ½ mile north to its present site in 1911 to make way for another building.
