Joseph Edwin O'Dell, 82, husband of Frances Puckett O'Dell of 10822 Indian Mound Road, died September 18, 2007 at Hospice House in Greenwood.
He was born in Laurens County, a son of the late Arthur and Sallie Mae Brissey O'Dell. He was a self-employed plumber and farmer and was a member of Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church. He served in World War II in the Army Air Corps.
Surviving besides his wife of the home are a daughter, Barbara O. Collins of Ware Shoals; a sister, Hilda O. Noland of Waterloo; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren
He was predeceased by his son, Simuel D. O'Dell
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Parker-White Funeral Home.

Frances Puckett O'Dell, 76, of 10822 Indian Mound Road, widow of Joseph Edwin O'Dell died Sunday at the Hospice House in Greenwood.
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late I.B. Puckett and Bessie C. Rowe. She was a member of Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Barbara O. Collins of Ware Shoals; one brother, Herman Nolan of Ware Shoals; one sister, Pearl Muegge of Warner Robins, Ga.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Simuel D. O'Dell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Parker-White Funeral Home.
