An emblematic figure of the Resistance, he was born in Paris on June 21, 1924.
He came into contact with the Resistance and participated in the Comite National de l'Union des Etudiants Patriotes (“National Comittee of the Union of Patriotic Students”).
On June 6, 1944, he joined a medical post in a combat zone.
On June 21, he confided to his notebook that "I am 20 years old, and of a happy age. I want to become a man and a worthy Frenchman." Arrested, he was shot at Domont on August 16, 1944.

Excerpt (in translation): …On June 6, 1944, he joined a medical post in the maquis of the Carnelle forest, in Val-d'Oise. On June 21, he confided in his notebook, "I am 20 years old, a happy age, I want to become a man and a worthy Frenchman", now quoted on the commemorative plaque of the college that bears his name, at 88 rue Monge, in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, close to his place of residence. He did not have time to do so, because he was arrested by a German patrol in the forest of Carnelle on August 15, 1944 and shot the next day at 6:45 p.m. on the local road No. 1, in Domont, at a place called "Les Quatre-Chênes”, in the company of twelve of his comrades.(Submitted on August 2, 2023.)
