1. Battlefield Cross Marker
Inscription. The Battlefield Cross originated during the Civil War as a means for soldiers to honor their fallen comrades on the battlefield. The helmet and dogtags represent the fallen soldier, the inverted rifle with bayonet symbolizes a time for prayer. The boots represent the final battle or last march.
