Why Trains?
In 2006 the Rutland arts community came together for the first community art project in the City. Here is one of the examples of the project.
WHY TRAINS?
When you think of Rutland's history... you think railroad. The arts community could think of no better way to bring the City of Rutland together to celebrate our rich history than trains. The Rutland Railroad dates back to the 1800's and was the main economic engine for the region. The Rutland Railroad was the main artery between Boston, Montreal and New York for passengers and freight. It supplied thousands of jobs through out the Rutland region. 20
