Excerpt (in translation): The building's name comes from the fact that a number of tailors have lived here. First up was master tailor Engelbreth Erichsen, who in 1836 bought the two-storey wooden house that stood on the site at the time. In 1883, tailor Carl Hansen bought the property and established his tailoring business here. In 1894, the house was demolished, and the existing five-storey business building was erected. Architect Reuter had the facade on the 3rd and 4th floors decorated with frescoes - large female figures in rich robes. On the 5th floor, women support coats of arms with Mercury’s staff and the Masonic symbol. An unusual
