Regarding Trott Hotel. Located on the northwest corner of Rocklin Road and Front Street, this building was built about 1868 by Samuel Trott. This hotel was Rocklins finest. One of Rocklins many fires claimed the hotel in 1869, but it was quickly rebuilt and continued to serve as one of the communitys most notable buildings. It burned again on February 20, 1979.
