2. Engine Company 1 Fire Station
The firehouse of Engine Company 1 is located in downtown Hartford just north of Park Street on a parcel that extends from Main to John Streets. The 2-story Collegiate Gothic-style building, built in 1927, stands back-to-back on the same parcel with the fire department's Equipment Maintenance Shop, a large two-story brick building constructed in 1920.
