1. Congregational Church Marker
Inscription.

This building was the second Congregational Church to stand on this spot. The first (pictured) had been constructed in 1816 but was sold and moved to Nashua in 1845. Later that same year, this second church was built to accommodate the growing parish, as the town's population had shifted to this area of town. This building underwent major renovations in 1869 and 1891. Representing the largest denomination in Goffstown during the town's early years, the Congregational Church has been a center of community life since the town's founding.

Erected by the Town of Goffstown.
