The structures in thi s group are, generally, 2 story, 3 bay width brick buildings with cornices. 117-119 S. Main, the oldest brick buildings in the district, have segmental arch windows and brick cornices. …
117 S. Main was built in 1877 for J. C. Paice, This building, and its companion 119 S. Main, were built following the last major fire in 1876. It housed at various times a variety store and a grocery and meat market. It is currently vacant. The building retains its original cast iron storefront
