Regarding Bradbury House. Significance Statement:
Owner - Louis L. Bradbury.
The property meets the criteria for LAHCM designation because it embodies the distinguishing characteristics of an architectural-type specimen, inherently valuable for a study of a period style or method of construction, as an excellent example of Spanish Colonial Revival architecture designed using adobe brick. It is also associated with the notable work of a master builder, designer, or architect, as a work by noted Southern California architect John W. Byers. The house was an early example of his adobe work and the first major commission he received. The property meets Criterion C for National Register designation for similar reasons.
