Excerpt: Originally established in 1922 as a two-building school for children with Down syndrome, Pathfinder Village's genesis into an early American-style Colonial village was the life work of former Executive Director Marian Mullet, who envisioned "a very free environment where people can come and go at will, where neighborliness and friendship count, where you don't have to ask permission to do things."
