Willis & Josiah Besemer, 1875, as water stop for UI & E Railroad. Served farmers & summer visitors. Willis Besemer agent 59 yrs 9 mo. Discontinued July 1935.
 
Erected 2002 by Town of Caroline Bicentennial Committee.
