Regarding Sarah Leonard Fine Jewelers. The jewelry store, initially called Crescent Jewelers, first opened its doors in 1946 on nearby Kinross Avenue. About 15 years after opening, they moved their store to Westwood Boulevard so they could expand their space to accommodate their growing business. It is one of the oldest family-owned businesses in Westwood. The name Sarah Leonard comes from the original owners Sarah Friedman and Leonard Friedman. The marker dedication in 2021 was attended by family members Gail Friedman, David Friedman, and Dean Abell.
