Regarding Roger Aizenman. Excerpt (in translation): Born on October 6, 1922 in Paris (XIIth arrondissement), a student, Roger Aizenman lived before the war at 33 rue du Faubourg-Saint-Martin (Paris Xth arrondissement). In June 1944, he joined the maquis of Meilhan (Gers) and took part in numerous parachuting and sabotage operations under the orders of Captain Joseph Raynaud. On July 7, 1944, the maquis were surrounded and attacked by the Germans. Seventy-six guerrillas were massacred there, including Roger Aizenman. He was posthumously given the rank of Sergeant FFI.
