Regarding Grether & Grether Building. Originally commissioned in 1921 by the Grether Brothers, and designed by John Montgomery Cooper, the building is in Los Angeles' Fashion District. Originally built as a wholesale facility, the six-story and basement building of reinforced concrete, on a lot 95 feet wide by 147 feet deep, cost approximately $250,000. It was refurbished and reopened in 2017 as 72 loft apartments. Designated Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument No. 1067 in 2014.
