1. City of Bryant Marker
Inscription. The first settlers came to the Bryant area in 1828. The railroad built a depot in 1873 and the Bryant Township was created 1878. In October of 1892 a group of 20 citizens petitioned the county judge to incorporate the City of Bryant. The population at that time was two hundred people. One hundred and twenty five years later the population is nearing eighteen thousand. Bryant continues its growth as one of the fastest growing cities in Arkansas.
