Regarding The Christie Hotel. The hotel featured three distinctive brick towers connected to ground-level shops. It also boasted amenities that included steam heat and individual bathrooms for each of its 100 guest rooms a first for Hollywood. It quickly became popular among those in town to work in the area's fast-growing film industry, as well as with locals. After Christie passed away in 1941, the building changed ownership and names several times, becoming the Drake Hotel and later the Hollywood Inn. It is now a church.
