English
Standing almost fifteen metres high and about six meters wide, the representation of the head and the face of the city can be seen from many different places and from far away. Huge brushstrokes and surfaces coated with coloured spots give life to the sculpture by this American artist. The sculpture belongs to a series of smaller-scale heads called Brushstrokes that the artist produced in his mature phase. The chromatic impact, the raised red dots (which represent the plots of printed images) and the ceramic coating like a trencadis are a tribute to Gaudi by one of the most representative artists of pop art.
