The Cottage
Henry Francis du Pont and his wife, Ruth Wales du Pont, built this house in 1951 after they opened their family home as [a] public museum. Designed by architect Thomas Waterman, the house was built in the English Regency style, although estate workers called it "The Cottage," after the old farmhouse that once stood on the site.
Today it houses the museum store and offices.
