To commemorate those thousands of brave men
who served the 29th Infantry Division
United States Army

With this symbol of the
Blue of the North and the Gray of the South
units that served in the American Revolution 1775-1781,
in the War of 1812 & in the Civil War, 1861-1865
were united in defense of the United States of America
and its Allies, in World War I and World War II,
in the cause of freedom.

Dedicated by the 29th Division Association and its Ladies Auxiliary,
September 1, 1974, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of their division's
spearhead of the Normandy Invasion, June 6, 1944 and service in
World War II and the 57th anniversary of their service in World War I.
