Stationed on Guam in the Western Pacific, George was an Aerial Gunner/Crewman in the B-29 named the "Fleet Admiral Nimitz" and flying 16 air offensive missions against Japan, striking oil refineries & petroleum manufacturing centers.

Enlisted 21 July 1943 at Binghamton, NY-Discharged 17 December 1945 at Fort Dix, NJ
