Inscription. This memorial is dedicated to the memory of those Men and Women of the Twenty-First Ward who gave their lives in World War II and all others who served honorably in the name of freedom.

To the cause for which these patriots so valiantly fought our Manchester community solemnly rededicates itself.

My native country thee, land of the noble free, those name I love, I love thy rocks and rills, thy woods and templed hills, my heart with rapture thrills, like that above.
